Count me in the strangely exhausted club. Hubby and I both worked all through the quarantine, so I wasn’t isolated, but everything at work is more complicated with the virus. Other than work, I go to the grocery store and that’s it. Still, I’m more tired than usual. I’ve been working out 6-7 days a week, which helps with mood. My dad died last November and my mom died in December. It’s a blessing in a way, because they were in assisted living and it would be so hard on them to be completely isolated. Also, the residence they were in had several covid cases, so that would be rough as well.

ETA: I deleted my Facebook account today. Too much stupidity and angry rhetoric. I just don’t have the reserves to deal with that now.

I chose that I was very tired lately but the truth is I am exhausted and I feel like a slug. I’m fine when I am at work but when I get home I just want to sit and do nothing.

I’m really tired of working with the public for peanuts and putting my health (and life) on the line then reading about people getting an extra $600 a week for unemployment. Who thought this made sense? I wish made $600 a week. Granted, my employer has sorta stepped up a tiny bit, but certainly not to the tune of $600 a week.

Sometimes, rarely, but sometimes such as after the Murrah Building bombing, I am so proud of my state. This is not one of those times. I am so frustrated that so few people are taking this seriously. The “no one is going to tell me what to do” attitude makes me so angry. It’s the same people who think it’s their “right” to play their stereo so it can be heard 3 blocks away. At 3 am. Just put a mask on for goodness sake. Yes, they are uncomfortable and they are hot and they fog up your glasses, but get the heck over it. You may save a life!

Rant over.

Hugs to all of you who are truly going through difficult times. I realize that my issues pale in comparison.

(((Hugs))) to everyone. It's so sad to read these heart-breaking stories, but a consolation in some way that so many of us are experiencing the same emotional and physical challenges.

So much uncertainty is the hardest part for me. When will this end? And how?

I, too, am sorry for you loss. ((Hugs)) My brother-in-law (sister's husband) died unexpectedly the third week of March. My sister is devastated and she can't even be around hardly any of her family members or friends to help her cope with her grief. (She has some health conditions that could be devastating to her, should she contract the virus.) She is hoping to have a memorial service sometime this summer, but...we'll see. After a rough start, our state is managing the pandemic better than some of the others, but we have been opening up very recently, so I am concerned that our case numbers and deaths will go back up. (sigh)

One, small bright note is that the nightly gunshots and fireworks have slowed down considerably. It helps to not hear explosions all evening and night.
