My word! He was so young and seemed so healthy. Black Panther was my girls' first superhero movie and our intro to the Marvel universe.

Wow
Makes me appreciate his movie all the more!

when we saw it on the news yesterday, there was a long pause of silence on the web - i think people were just so stunned. i texted it to my kids (all adults now), and they were so shocked. they loved all of his movies, from Jackie Robinson, Thurgood Marshall, to Draft Day, and of course Wakanda. children of all ages will miss this real-life superhero.

I was stunned to hear this news; I didn't know he was sick. Unfortunately, colon cancer is so deadly - DH's BIL was diagnosed around the same time as Boseman (2016) and he died last year.

I thought it was a sick hoax. I hoped it was one.

He sent out a message before he died for young people to vote. I respect him.

Chadwick really kind of broke me. He was only 2 years younger than me, and I can't imagine doing all the physical stuff required for the Avengers movies and Black Panther while suffering so much. This is really devastating. A lot of very young people looked up to him.

Although I'm a few years older than he was, I feel the same way. It is devastating. I was absolutely shocked when I read the news last night, first that he had died and then to find out he had been battling cancer for the past 4 years.

RIP Chadwick Boseman

This one stunned me. It took me a while to process the news. My husband, two children, MIL and I all went together to see Black Panther - it is a memory I hold fondly in my heart.

I, like others, am amazed that he was able to do such physical acting while so ill.

And much, much props for one of his final acts to be a message about getting out and voting!

We'll miss you, Chadwick.
