I watched both seasons of the Japanese series, "Alice in Borderland." It is sort of like Squid Games. It was OK, I didn't love it.

I’m curious - for those of you that watch entire seasons of newer series, how many episodes are in one season? I just got season one of the old Peter Gunn series and there are 38 episodes in the season. We sure don’t get anywhere near that many anymore.

Some series, like Sherlock, only have 3 episodes per season.

Six to ten is typical.

Talking

I recently binge watched all 35(!) seasons of The Amazing Race. A great way to "see the world" from your living room.

Just finished Severance. Loved it! And Season 2 "might" be out by the end of the year. I can't wait that long.

Binged the brand new Apples Never Fall on Peacock yesterday but, hard as I tried, couldn't stay awake for the last episode last night. I'll be on that ASAP today! 7 episodes.

New Shogun (Hulu) and Resident Alien (Netflix, SyFy)

We're enjoying the new Shogun series on Hulu. Exceptional acting, still a terrific script.

For some reason we like the irreverent humor in Resident Alien. First two seasons are on Netflix. The latest 3rd season is dropping (episode by episode) on the SyFy channel.

I'm annoyed that to get the later episodes in season 3 you have to sign up for a free NBC universal account. Guess they gotta track you and show you ads...

We've been loving "007: Road to a Million" on Prime -- it's like Amazing Race but the contestants are teams that travel around the globe answering trivia questions to win certain prize amounts to keep going in the adventure. Brian Cox from Succession is the "voice" that tells contestants where they are heading to and he reads the questions to them. I'm butchering the description because it's a lot more exciting than it's sounding! The scenery is amazing, and the teams are all very personable and likeable. I don't want it to end! Highly recommend!

Currently watching Extant and Primeval:New World. I don't love either of them, but they are interesting enough to keep watching.
