Thumbs up July 2020 ~ Walk On & On ~ New Check-In Buddies Are Always Welcome!

What started as a Leslie walk challenge has morphed into a wide variety of workouts and lots of support and encouragement! Join us, if you're looking for a friendly check-in, that's not limited to one type of exercise!

Last night: Basic stretches
This morning: Oxycise

Thanks for starting the month, Diana!

Today I did Bodyfit by Amy: 28 Minute Full Body Dumbbell HIIT Sculpt Workout for Strength & Cardio. The HIIT was really just compound dumbbell moves, so it was fine.

July already! Diana, thanks for starting our month.

I am doing the Slim Series Express calendar, which I started last week. Today was the Cool it Off express stretch. Tomorrow is the weekly scheduled rest day, but I'll probably skip ahead to the next day, since today felt like a rest day.

Lynn, did you get your haircut?

DH has a new patient appointment with a rheumatologist this morning. I wanted to go with him so we are up early.

Today I walked 1.5 miles outdoors. Later DD and I did an 1800 step walking workout with that instructor that we like. Then I did Ballet Beautiful's Lean Legs and Buns and an 11-Minute cardio kickboxing from Fitness Blender. So a hodgepodge, basically!

Diana, is your DH feeling ill? I hope the appointment goes well!

Cynthia, I agree, the Cool It Off workouts feel like a rest day to me too. Are you using Beachbody on Demand?

Lynn, I almost did yoga today. How are things going with work?

Cynthia, I did get my haircut and I don't feel good about it. I hope it wasn't a big mistake. I asked my hairdresser if he was wearing masks, but when my DH went in for his (and I waited in the car) my DH told me later that he had to tell the guy to put on a mask as he wasn't wearing one. And when I left a women came in not wearing a mask. So while the we were all wearing masks when the haircuts happened, apparently my guy doesn't always wear his and make his other customers wear one. So I don't plan to go back and am not so sure I should have gone through with it. DH keeps telling me it was ok.

Cheryl, things at work have calmed down for now, thanks. And these days I am saying I almost did yoga too! I find it hard to do yoga without a class.

I saw where you walked today. That's pretty cool.

Cheryl He's doing fine. It was his first appointment to the rheumatologist. Hi original appointment was when this covid stuff started but it was rescheduled. It's actually been rescheduled 3 or 4 times. They did labs and x-rayed his hands.

Check-In: 1 hour outdoor walk
