He was great in that film. I've always thought one of my brothers looked just like him, even now that my brother is 61 and has a full head of white hair.

He was in so many good films. Made a cool appearance in Escape from LA when he surfed down the streets. Was SO like his Dad in 3:10 to Yuma. The list goes on and on.
I think I'll go watch Ulee's Gold!

Valerie Harper has passed away. Oddly, the channel GET tv is showing the Hot in Cleveland episode with Valerie Harper right now. I loved her on Mary Tyler Moore and Rhoda. She was also great on Touched by An Angel. She was on several episodes.

I love Doris Day. My MIL got me onto her and the rat pack. I used to have her song que sera sera as my ringer on my cell. "Everybody loves a lover...." gets me snapping my fingers and shaking my shoulders every time!

I just read that Franco Columbo, the bodybuilder, died in a boating accident. RIP to all those we've lost this year, especially my mom, who passed on February 28.

OH!!! I am so sorry to hear that. She lived quite a while longer than expected though, I think. I’ve loved everything she’s done.

Eddie Money has passed away. He was only 70. He had cancer of the esophagus and had also developed pneumonia and a heart issue this past summer.

He played at my college when I attended there. I was on the concert committee (big shock ) that helped with setting up the shows. I met him for about one minute. He was very nice. I still remember even though it was about thirty years ago that his one concern he had was that his parents had good seats for the concert. His family was from New York, and I went to college in north Jersey. He was really excited that they were coming to the show.

Aww, this one is really sad for me - DH & I are big 80s music fans, and Eddie Money was right in our wheelhouse (esp DH). He also had connections to the Rochester area; I can't remember exactly, but either he grew up here or had family here? I heard a local interview with him that had to be in the past year or two.
