She has every right to her opinion, and I have every right to add her to my no-buy list of people with unhealthy attitudes.

I'm sorry, her explanation is just lame. For me I find her defense of her ' skinny' talk nauseating and potentially harmful, similar to how I feel about TA's 'teeny tiny' talk.

I couldn't care less whether or not an instructor wants to use "skinny" in their marketing tactics (those types of instructors and their workouts rarely appeal to me anyway), but her argument is quite weak. So once-upon-a-time, being skinny was associated with poverty and food scarcity, but now that food is abundant and obesity is a societal problem it is okay to want to strive towards being skinny? Huh? I am sure there is an argument somewhere in there, but if there was, it went over my head.

It was a strange defense. She goes on to describe the original definition of "skinny" and how accurate it was terms of people not getting enough to eat and being emaciated, etc. But that now - when we have plenty of food - it's considered a compliment and that Webster, et al need to catch up. Weird.
Also, instead of taking naysayers seriously she sticks her tongue in cheek (if not directly at them) and brags about how her "skinny" videos and seminars are best-sellers. Uhh, that's not because you used that word, is it? (Or maybe it is, who knows. )
