I forgot to mention that Leslie Sansone has some decent floor work! I have her Walk Away Your Hips and Thighs DVD and Belly, Buns, and Thigh Slimdown.

Let me say up front that I have the same goals as everyone else here does! I'd like to try GWW again, but it hurts my neck and shoulders in a bad way. What am I doing wrong?

Don't feel badly, cristina. I tried this workout years ago when it was at the library and it just didn't feel right to me--I remember thinking that she moved too fast in the upper body portions, and the workout itself was just too long.

If you're interested, a great upper body workout can be found in Tom Holland's Total Body Workout I routine. He splits the upper and lower body so you can really adjust the weights to challenge yourself at whatever level you're at. I may try this one (it's one of the few workouts I own ) and just continue doing cardio--running in place, jumping rope--during the squat and lunge portions of the tape to see what happens.

Recently, I've been doing the second half of Keep It Up after using the treadmill during the squat/lunge/sidekick phase. I join in with the DVD when they do the upper body with weights portion, and just continue through the floorwork until the end. So far, that seems to be helping me towards my goal of slimming down my lower body. Unfortunately, it's taking a bit longer than I'd like--those standing lower body moves in Si6 were pretty potent and have had a lingering effect!

Ellen Barrett is my favorite instructor.

Unfortunately, I find that every time I start doing her workouts religiously, I get thicker in my waist, legs and I gain weight

I finally had to put her workouts aside

As someone else said here, less is more for me too(I'm 4'11").

A handful of years ago, my legs were getting really slim by just doing the treadmill, Callan and pilates (with and without the miniball).
