Need Anxiety Book Recommendations

I need recommendations. My 23-year-old daughter deals with anxiety. Specifically, she deals with intrusive thoughts and sometimes when it's bad it can also make her feel OCD. Does anyone have any suggestions for books, workbooks, relaxation videos, meditation videos? Thank you!

anything by Louise Hay is really good. she has many books and audios. check your local library - ours has lots of her books, audios, and electronic versions of both to try out. her "You Can Heal Your Life" is well known and a good one to start with.

Sadly, she passed away recently, however, she has a very excellent and vast collection of products.

Iyanla Vanzant is another excellent source too. I was lucky to find her books and audios at our library as well - really love her "In the Meantime" audio (also available in book form).

I think walking is also another good antidote to anxiety.

I 2nd Louise Hay's You can Heal your Life.

Brene Brown's books can be empowering, I suggest those as well.

The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer would also be an excellent read. It's been helpful to me.

Hope your daughter feels better.

Effective Learning Systems - especially The Love Tapes are great relaxation/meditation programs that can be purchased on CD or downloaded.

I think they have saved my life more than once.

Just One Thing by Rick Hanson. I was having anxiety for an extended period and I was at work one day and I googled what can I do to feel better right now and stumbled upon this book. It has short bite sized practices that really work. He also has free newsletters with JOTs (Just One Thing) that she can sign up for at his website.
