Which rowing machines do you own or use?

Besides the Concept 2, which rowing machines do you own or use? I do not want to pay the high price of a Concept 2, but would like to find a rower that has smooth operation and pulling motion with adjustable tension. I read that the Stamina 1399 is similar to Concept 2 as an air driven machine, but that it is noisy. I currently have an old Tunturi rower that has uneven tension and sticks, which makes pulling very difficult. I don't want a water rower.

Any suggestions?

C2 owner here, sorry I can't offer any advice. In fact, I don't think I've even tried any other brand.

I've only used the Concept 2 during my Crossfit WODs.

I've got a cheapie from either QVC or HSN and well, it kind of sucks. Better than nothing, but I think eventually, I've save up for a much better one.

Oh I was hoping more people would respond to this as I too am thinking of getting a rowing machine but can't really afford a concept 2 and I'm not even sure I have room for it. Plus I'm wondering how noises they are.

I tried a few and you don't wanna hear this but Concept 2 is heads and tails above them. There was one that I just knew was going to collapse on me!

I made an effort to really listen during my warm up yesterday to see how loud the Concept 2 is. Now, granted, I was rowing next to another person rowing, and music was playing but its not really all that loud.
Quieter than my cheap one I have at home.

Hoping that I can get one for myself at home sometime next year lol.

I had a C2 but got rid of it because of pain issues. I didn't think it was noisy but I enjoyed it so much, I probably didn't notice or care. I wish I could still use it.

We just got a C2 about a month ago. I did about 3 workouts on it, which were great, but then I got sick and haven't been able to work out. So far though, I love it!

Ok another question for those of you who have C2 at home, how would you Tate the noise level? And just how much room do you really need for one?

Thanks,
Karen
