Fraudulent charges on my CC

After placing an order at exercisetoheal.com (Lee Holden, QiGong) someone tried to purchase something from beachbody.com and danielwellington.com for $150 and $104 respectively.

Discover card acted quickly and I am highly satisfied with their service.

Well, that sucks. I'm glad you were able to resolve the issue quickly.

I've ordered for Lee's exercisetoheal.com site before with no problems.

Have you contacted him to let him know there is a problem with his site?

I've ordered from there many times and never had an issue, thankfully.
I went to his site now to see and it is still secure - could it be you have a virus or your connection is not secure??
Also if you used your card anywhere else at any time, it could have been stolen from anywhere.
Just hate to see his site bashed or others not use it, since it is showing secure on my computer (https, lock symbol, log in, and under properties it says encrypted).

If you want to sign into your account at Exercise to Heal, the https:// has a red bar through it. This morning it was just really slow.

So, Tanja, did you ever hear back from Lee about your account?

I had fraudulent charges on my cc and the bank took care of it. I had shopped online and asked about that site. They said no. The numbers run randomly and then they hit one. The cc claimed it had nothing to do with the site I had just ordered from.

I have my bank account compromised once. I have credit card hacked at least twice. For all incidences, bank or credit card companies realized the problem before I did and they contacted me.

The most recent one was a couple of month ago. CC company (Chase) immediately sent a text message and email asking about the questionable charge. Two more questionable charges came soon afterward. CC company closed the account and issued me a new card with new number.

Bank incident was long time ago. but it was much bigger mess. someone actually made a fake checkbook, and went onto a shopping spree, spending about $1500 in a matter of few hours. I had to talk with so many people, sign papers etc. And I thought I was safe because my name is highly unusual....

I don't think we can completely avoid this problem these days. I think CC are actually safer than other options.

The issuing bank for my new MC card sends me emails whenever I make a purchase online or by phone. I think that is great !!!
I think I will see if my other cards offer the same service.
