Talking How about a best & worst books read in 2015

Since a best for fitness is already up, we have many readers here, so what is the best or the worst book you read this year?

There are many great books I read but if I had to choose one it would be Tolstoy's War & Peace; my worst would be Robin Cook's Host.

Hi Fran!
The best book I read this year was The Man in the Rockefeller Suit. I'm not usually into true crime, but I could not put this book down. I passed it on to my dad so he could read it.
The worst was the last Hunger Games book. Blech. Hated it. At least it ended ok.

I read a lot of good books. The only two I really disliked were Gone Girl and Shiver. Ugh.

Go Set a Watchman, the Harper Lee novel, was awful.

Loved All the Light We Cannot See and Salman Rushdie's book about his years in hiding, Joseph Anton.

I've been keeping track of the books I've read on GoodReads this year, and it's been a good experience. I've figured out that my tastes have changed, and this has helped me figure out what to seek out, what to abandon and what to read again.

Brandon Sanderson's The Emperor's Soul is a good story. I've read it twice this year. This is the only thing of his I've read, mostly because I'm not really into big fantasy epics these days, and that's apparently most of what he does. (And apparently he does it well.)

In mystery, my favorite series this year has been Charles Finch's Charles Lenox series. (First one, A Beautiful Blue Death). It's a cozy mystery series set mostly in London in the Victorian era. Not too cutesy, not too gruesome. I let the first in the series sit on my shelf for years, mostly because I assumed that the story would be more gruesome/dark than it turned out to be. I've read them all, and enjoyed this series. (Though I'm glad I get the rest at the library, LOL!)

The best book I've read this year was Elizabeth Gaskell's Wives and Daughters and the worst was, without a doubt, JoJoMoyes' After You.

The best thing I read this year was The Nightingale.

I was going to say the worse thing I read was Goldfinch, but when I looked it up in my log, I read it in February 2014! I guess I will go with It's in his Heart. It was a free Amazon first. I am so glad I did not pay for it.

The worst: The Ancient Oceans of Central Kentucky. A book group selection that was positively dreadful

My favorites:
All the Light you Cannot See
Just Mercy-Brian Stephenson
We are all completely Besides ourselves-Karen Joy Fowler
The Boys in the Boat-Daniel James Brown

My favorite by far was Coppermine by Keith Ross Leckie, couldn't put it down! I read a few mediocre books, but nothing I really disliked.
