Welcome home!

As usual, I will go against the mold. I like Jessica Smith, but don't recommend her for beginners/re-starters. She does a lot of twisty and torquing moves that could be trouble for someone who is getting back to fitness.

Leslie is my go-to gal for restarting. She has quite a few streaming options on YouTube.

I think she has her own streaming service, but I have no experience with that.

I really like Jane Adams, too!

I think Debra Mazda’s workouts would be a good choice. She has very basic choreography and pretty good music, too. Her cuing is a little odd and “2” seems to be her favorite number when counting, but I really like her workouts. (If you’re a QVC fan, Angel Smedley is one of her background exercisers.)

The FIRM workouts are now available to stream on fitnessfavorites.com . I recently restarted working out by doing beginner workouts and walking, then went back to familiar Cathe workouts but with lighter weights, but now I am rotating through the FIRM workouts and building stamina and strength like crazy, and loving it- it's like returning to my roots! There is a great Facebook group of very supportive FIRMies called "The Firm" Original Workout Series if anyone's interested in getting back into the FIRM.

Hiya!

I've recently discovered the enormous benefits of working out strictly within my limits. No pushing the boundaries, no give it all you've got, no go for the burn, no extended reaching, you get the idea.

My goal is to do SOMETHING consistently. I'm finding that I can walk on the treadmill at a 2 for both pace and incline for thirty minutes a day without winding up with too much dread.

Gentle yoga also fits within my limits, and I've gotten some dvds to supplement the classes I've been taking at the Y. (Yes, it took joining a gym, monthly fees and all to get me back toward my fitness goals. Sigh, but I'll take it.)

Best of luck finding what works for you. Just be patient and persistent.

Your post inspired me to "de-lurk"!!

I, too, am back and looking for consistency. I recently got an Apple Watch and it is motivating me to get exercise, movement and standing in each day.

I'll check out all the recommendations you've been given. I've got some Jessica Smith (and agree she does some quick twisty things at times) but have been working thru some old VHS tapes, lol!

Not up to speed on streaming or downloaded workouts but need to figure it out!

Hi-

Here are the ones I can think of on YouTube:
Leslie Sansone
Jessica Smith
Chris Freytag
Gin Miller

See if any of those fit what you are looking for. Good luck!

Hi!

I recommend Mirabai Holland workouts.

Here's a cardio workout posted on her YouTube channel:
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1fvXZMBtOvM

I have only previewed it, but it looks gentle and it's under 20 minutes.

What are some of the beginner options you're considering?
