I finish the Buddhism book I was reading and am now reading Buddhism Plain and Simple.

I also snuck in a novel: True Detectives by Jonathan Kellerman (a non-Dr. Delaware novel).

I am reading the British psychological suspense book "The Other Wife" by Michael Robotham. It drew me in right away.

Has anyone read "Educated" by Tara Westover? It was fantastic!! It reminded me very much of "The glass castle". I highly recommend it. It's one of those books that will stay with me for a very long time.

Yes! I liked it so well I gave it as gifts to several family members.

I read it but was skeptical about much of what the author wrote. I love "The Glass Castle" and the prequel to it, too.

I am reading Sally Field's memoir now, "In Pieces." Excellent so far.

I’ve had both these “on hold” from the library (Educated” and “In Pieces”) and, of course, they both just came in at the same time so I have started both of these. It’ll be tough for me to finish them both by the time they are due.

I did just finish “The Lost Girls of Paris” by Pam Jenoff which was good.

At least I can't. Jane Harper wrote "The Dry" & "Force of Nature" prior to The Lost Man. One of the best books I've read in a long time. It's mystery genre set in Australia.
That was a great book! I liked it even better than the Aaron Falk books.

I liked that one too, I've read five of Jewell's books and liked them all.

Thank you. I loved The Glass Castle. I thought the movie was very good, too.

My book club just finished Runaway by Alice Munro. Five stars! Loved the short stories, easy to read and intriguing. I plan to read more Alice Munro.

Currently I'm about halfway through The Broken Circle: A Memoir of Escaping Afghanistan by Enjeelia Ahmadi-Miller. Her childhood memoirs surround the 1980s Soviet invasion. It is gripping and horrifying.

I read Hillbilly Elegy last summer, and someone recommended Educated to me as being similar. I heard the author in the radio and also felt skeptical about her; I'm not really sure why. There was a kind of remoteness to her that I found hard to relate to; I had a similar reaction to reading Alice Sebold's (author of The Lovely Bones) memoir Lucky.

I would like to read Sally Field's memoir!
