I tried the Lower Body segment this morning and liked it a lot. I actually noticed the music, in a good way - sometimes her music has seemed "generic" to me in the past but I liked the music on this one! It was higher-energy. I enjoyed the mix of basic leg work and barre moves, and I liked her variations. I followed it with a different yoga DVD - I don't buy KCM for her yoga.
This will be a go-to workout for me, for a shorter lower body option. I hope the other segments are as good!

Yes, "Everybody" was in the lower body workout. I got my dvd yesterday and did the lower body workout x 2 this morning. I did the first set with 15 pounds, second with 20; the second set made me sweat. I did the second part without ankle weights both times, because I only have 5 pounds and didn't know if that would have been too heavy.
Some of the moves were interesting - the deadlift/knee bend, and deadlift/plie. My back felt fine, but sometimes I won't know until hours later if it hurt my back. Thanks for the breakdowns! |

I think 5 pounds would be too heavy for that knee up/knee out/arabesque move - I'd worry about my knees. I used 3# ankle weights and felt that was enough. Then again, I used 10s for the dumbbell work (once through) and sweated! (I'm going to increase the weight for that part next time, though.)
