Question Firm Sculpting stick problem

I pulled out my Firm sculpting stick from BSS2 and found out that the purple covering on the middle portion is falling apart.
It also looks like the covering on the end sticks might be next.
Has this happened to anyone else?
I guess I will need to recover it but I'm not sure what to use.
Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi,
Would it work to get the thinnest thickness of pipe insulation? I use a medium thickness of that on my barbell; it gives me a bit of padding without making it too bulky to comfortably hold. Plus you could easily cut it to the desired length.

It won't have the same look, though. You might also check a craft store, like Michael's or Hobby Lobby, or a fabric store like JoAnn, and see if someone sells a thin, colored foam-type sheeting.

Hope this helps!

I made my own body bar by wrapping pipe insulation around a metal bar. I wrapped it around the bar and taped the seam with duct tape, and it's held up for years now.

The opposite happened to mine: I could tell that there were pieces broken inside. That happened a long time ago, right around the time that the Sculpting Stick Pro came out, so I bought that and I use it for all the sculpting stick workouts. The cats have made holes in the fabric, but it's not coming off.

I'd try vet wrap. It comes in a ton of colors. It sticks to itself. Horse catalogs sell it. Not sure if it's sold in pet stores, but they use it for dogs and cats too.

Have you considered handlebar tape (like what is found on race bikes)? You could pick that up at any bicycle shop.

How about the tape-like stuff sold to enhance the grip on tennis rackets? The last few suggestions, above, made me think of that product.

My Firm sculpting stick is o.k. but my bodybar foam was ripping. I used duct tape to keep it from tearing further. They have them in different colors and patterns.
