Do you "dress up" for your workouts?

Being inspired by all the cute fitness wear being worn on fitness dvds, I find that I'm pushing myself harder in a workout by wearing cuter fitness outfits and pretending I'm a cast member of say...a Cathe workout or Physique 57 workout. I've recently revamped my fitness wardrobe because Gap has recently had all of their Gap Fit sale wear an additional 50% off! I'm a Gap Inc employee, so I got an additional discount off of that! I draw the line at working out with full make-up though!

I don't. Right now, I'm working out in fleece lined sweat pants and oversized tshirts because it's so cold in my basement. I start my work out in an old button up cashmere feeling sweater that I remove as soon as I'm warmed up. Not cute at all.

When it's warmer, I'm in yoga pants and mens v-neck tshirts that I buy from Wal-mart.

It's great that you do though. Cathe and crew always look so cute in their outfits.

No. I rather spend the money on other fitness toys or more DVDs. Only sport bra and yoga pants. Now that it is so cold and old long sleeve as well.

I do. I run a lot outdoors and all my gear is really cute. I am in public, after all. I don't really buy any other clothes so workout-wear is where I spend my clothing budget. I actually don't buy a lot of dvds anymore, either... I get far more use out of my clothes as most of my dvds just sit on a shelf!
At home I just wear yoga shorties and a sport bra, but they are cute too.

Since I do most of my work-outs first thing in the morning, I come much closer to looking like a nominee for "What Not to Wear". However, I recall one day - by total coincidence - I had dressed exactly like Cathe's cast (same color top with black pants).

I do much better when I go to yoga class.

I can relate to T2B's winter layered look, as I've start out with all sorts of amusing combinations (translated: whatever I can grab) and peel off layers as I warm up during The Attack of the Polar Vortex.

Oh...I can understand wanting sweaters and long-sleeve t's where it's cold! I'm in Texas so it never gets that cold!

Me too. It is freezing in my w/o space. I also wear a warm hoodie and peel off layers as I warm up. Sweat pants, thermal tee shirts over a tank top and a hoodie.

I tend to think of clothes as gear and dress appropriately for the activity. I'm not sure anything I own could be termed "cute."

My workout clothes are ancient, they have held up fine, look fine, are comfortable and functional, but nothing cute or special. This is one thing I really want to do this year, is to buy a bunch of new workout clothes, but I want to start at the outlet stores and not spend a fortune. I am going to Atlantic City at the end of March, so I'm hoping the weather is nice enough to shop at the outdoor outlets.
