Ballet Body Rotations?

I know there's a huge thread about Ballet Body in general but I was wondering if anyone has any rotation suggestions? I'm fairly new to BB and I've noticed that her newer workouts are pretty long.... how do you get everything into one session?

lol that's not true - I have nothing to say

The best thing to do if you do total body workouts is do 1 upper body and 1 lower body. if you split - do one mat and one weight and one core [upper body] and do 1 segment that does say lower body combo + emphasis] lower body

I'm no good at rotations, but I'm doing one that fuzzie posted in this thread. I'll just be finishing week 1 tomorrow, but so far I love it.

Thanks, fuzzie!

I've been doing Ballet Body splits this summer. My rotation is something like this:

Day 1: BB Lower Body (thigh emphasis)
Day 2: BB Upper Body (plank/mat segment + weighted arm segment + cardio arm segment)
Day 3: BB Lower Body (glute/hamstring emphasis)
Day 4: Rest
Day 5: BB Core (standing abs + plank segment + mat abs)
Day 6: BB Lower Body (total emphasis)
Day 7: BB Upper Body (two weighted arm segments + cardio arm segment)
Day 8: Rest

I'm really enjoying this routine!

Are splits more effective? I feel like doing an emphasis only once a week would not be enough..... Also what are everyone's favorite segments?

Well, by emphasis, I just mean that I pick at least one segment that has that emphasis. I still work other areas of the leg on those days. For instance, on a "thigh emphasis" day, I might do Circle the Hips, Lunges in Turnout, Bridge on the Wall. It's definitely thigh-focused, but it still hits the lower body everywhere.

As for whether splits are more effective, I'm finding that they are. I'm definitely getting way more upper body work this way than when I was doing full-body barre workouts. Also my legs (especially hamstrings and glutes) are getting stronger! I'm also enjoying splitting the workouts up. More fun!

I don't know about splits. It works for some, but others bulk up unless they add cardio.

My favorite segments are ...

Mat/Weight circular movements (archive 1-16)
Side plank (archive 1-16)
Leg/Hip Isolation (archive 17-24)
High/Low Levels brilliant! (archive 33-48)
Pretzel II (archive 33-48)
Leg/Hip Isolation II (archive 49-58)
Inward facing foldover (archive 49-58)

Foldover is common in most barre workouts, but Leah's twist on it in Inward Facing foldover is so creative ... she keeps barre workouts fresh and interesting.

Thanks girls! I love Leah's twist on regular barre workouts too! Her side plank series just about kills me, I can't get through the entire thing!

Rachael, I almost died the first time I did side plank as well.
But keep at it because you do get stronger and better. By the third try, I was able hold the side plank with my leg in posse position without toppling over. If you keep at it, you'll be amazed at how much stronger you get.
