Diana, do you have trouble following CS? Somehow I find her movement patterns hard to get and I am never sure I do them correctly.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! It's wonderful to have my loving family. My daughter made me breakfast all by herself, and DH and DD gave me lovely gifts and cards.

A dear friend here in Nashville passed away this morning after a long battle with covid. We keep thinking of the last time we saw him and his wonderful stories, energetic humor, and kindness always, and we would have never imagined that that would be the last time we would see him. Life is short, and every kindness and show of gratitude is precious.

Cheryl, sorry for the loss of your friend. Glad you have your family.

21DFX real time week 2 has the active rest day, the yoga, today. I'll do it or maybe another yoga, at bedtime.

If I go back to the DVDs, I think I'll follow this mix-it-up pattern. Better than oh this is Sunday, it has to be yoga.

Cheryl Happy Birthday! I'm sorry for your loss. I was praying that he would pull through.

Last night I did 21DFX real time yoga, the whole thing including all those sun sals. Decided they were sorta worth doing b/c going from plank to cobra to up dog is good for the triceps. I won't seek out any of the Fix yoga workouts when I'm not doing a Fix rotation, but this rotation has a few interesting moves that don't show up frequently in normal yoga DVDs: half moon, extended and humble warriors, crow, standing splits.

This morning after the DD drive, I walked outside (oceanview). Since this was before breakfast and I was hungry when I got home, I'll check back later after I do Dirty Dozen.

I have a new to me pancake recipe, "blintz" pancakes from a cookbook called Cook Yourself Thin Faster. DD loves them too. Instead of filing in a crepe, these are all-in-one. With a little dab of Smucker's Natural strawberry spread, these are so good it's hard to believe they're from a diet cookbook. Glad to share the recipe on request.

Later - did Dirty 30. For this real time rotation, It's not just mixing up the order of the workouts. Each week is a little harder. But not much. And I have Kat.

This was day 12 of 21, so I'm more than halfway there. 7 lb to go. I remember the days when these levels of activity and food would result in 2 lb down every week. Now it's a half pound.

Today DD and I did something new, a virtual adventure workout. It was simple cardio with a background of snowy mountain peaks, icy streams, etc. It was short but DD loved it. We followed it with a 10-minute Reps to the Rhythm Walk. Later I did a Heather Robertson unweighted leg workout that I like to do--I've done it a few times.

Cynthia, I'd like to hear about that recipe! Also, the best I do no matter my efforts is an average of a 1/2 pound/week loss. But that is always better than no loss or going higher.

Diana, thanks for your prayers. I've been praying for his wife too, because she just lost the love of her life. He was a very healthy guy, so it was quite unexpected.
