Yes I frequent more than one. And boy are they different.

Like a few have commented they like the place as is. Scared of change

Maybe it is a time saver but it’s also a conversation killer.

Exactly. It's a fitness forum. The conversation and friendships are icing on the cake.

Oops, diet talk... haha!

I’ve had two really busy weeks with not much posting time. Then yesterday when I did try to respond to some posts I kept getting the dreaded “500 error”. I finally gave up. Maybe others had the same issue?

Agree with both!

I’m in two very different check ins. I tend to copy & paste my posts to some degree and it does save time. I also like to comment on the workouts & how much depth I go into with my commentary varies between the check ins. I have more to say about my Essentrics workouts on the Essentrics check in & more to say about my yoga practice on the yoga cross trainers check in. Both check ins are easy going & low pressure, personals are welcome but never a requirement. They are like the icing on the cake! I have made some wonderful friendships here through my check ins and have had the privilege of meeting three lovely VFers.

Yup, or I type out a thread or response and lose it (always typing on my tablet these days and it's so much more cumbersome). But I've never been one to start a thread 'just because'. I don't stream and I don't buy new fitness instructors (or even know who they are any more) so there isn't that much for me to say that's interesting or topical any more. And I guess I'm using to thinking that just wasted band length or whatever - is that still a thing these days? Tbh I don't chatter needlessly in real life either. Ah well, let's see if I kill this thread, lol.

We haven't had a locked controversial or off topic thread in a long time. I can think of a few things right off the top of my head.

You didn’t kill the thread! I’m often typing on my phone so same deal with the frustration of losing posts.

I DO start threads but they rarely go anywhere. I promise if you get all brave and start a thread I’ll post to it. I think a lot of us are in the same boat when it comes to using old workouts. I still love mine, the older the better. My point is that we’d relate to a post you made about an older workout.

I’m also not sad that we haven’t had a lot of controversy over threads. It makes for a busy board but not the kind of busy I’m interested in.

I was just being lighthearted and trying to be humorous with my comment, certainly not blaming anyone. I'm not the most prolific thread starter by any means. It was just fun coming on here a couple of weeks ago and seeing several pages of new threads for awhile. I know everyone is busy and doesn't always have something they feel is worth starting a thread about, myself included.

I don’t think anyone took it any other way. At least I didn’t. I noticed the thread slow down myself and considered posting something but I was locked into the “500 error” inability to post thingy.
