I only do the leg section. I've had this workout since it was new and have never done the ab section.

Did I read in one of your earlier posts that you use 5lb ankle weights? Then, yes, you should be terrified!

I love the floor portion of this workout; I think it's great for both toning and for strengthening the muscles that support the knees. But, I use 1.5 or 2 lb. ankle weights. It's tough but very doable at that weight.

Add me to the list of those who never do GWW all at one time (although I have tried it a few times). Not only is it exhausting, but for me, when it hits the 60 min. mark, I've pretty much lost interest in almost any workout. And for me, the best parts of GWW are the floorwork and abs portions, which are at the end. Just last week I did the w/up and upper body weights section one day and then the w/up and floorwork another day. (I never do the standing leg work because, well, I generally don't ever do standing leg work.)

The highlight of this w/o for me and the thing that keeps me going is Karen's absolutely amazing body. She is to die for in this video and such an inspiration (although just too damn buff to be a realistic goal for the average person, IMO!).

There's an ab section? Didn't know that. I only do the leg workout.

Karen Voight puts out the best abs segments... and there's an excellent one on GWW too. I usually do the lower body floorwork on its own (30 mins), or in combination with the abs segment (30 mins + 15 mins). It is very, very hard, and I can barely get through the lower body floorwork with 1-2 lb ankle weights. Form tips and cuing are superb, as always. I've learned to live with the 1980s leotards and mild bits of whooping in the background.

warning! :0) This is the workout that started me using weight plates on my chest during ab work. I personally don't DO crunches this way anymore, with or without plates, but when I was doing this workout I ended up with an abdominal hernia so DO be careful!!

Me too! Ok, how about when MuscleGuy gets his, we'll talk/guilt/shame him into doing it and then if he lives, we'll give it a try?

Yikes, RedFlame, that sounds painful. Thank you for the warning.
