form pointers, weight training instructors

Hi all, looking for recommendations for instructors who give really good and consistent form pointers during weight training exercises, particularly upper body and back. Thanks!

how vintage can you go?

Karen voight - any of her toning stuff - strong & smooth moves, great weighted workout, Firm arms & abs, lean legs & buns, streamline fitness, and all the rest.

kathy smith - secrets to a great UB and LB (it's on her super slimdown circuit compilation DVD)

tamilee webb - I want that body DVD

Cathe - maximum intensity strength, Pure strength, pyramid upper body and lower body, push pull, muscle max

Jari Love - her original Get Ripped

Tracie Long - Defining Shape and The Firm Maximum Body Shaping, The Firm Basic Sculpting with Weights

Gilad - Sculpt & Tone

Margaret Richard

Erin O'Brien - Strong Body, Ageless Body

Cindy Whitmarsh - 10 Days to a Better Body, 10 Minute Solution Target Toning

Gin Miller - serious strength

Heidi Tanner - FitPrime Metaboost, Firm Cardio

i would recommend Kelly Coffey Meyer (KCM), but some of her combination moves tend to be a little too creative, unless someone can chime in on a recommendation for one of her more basic weights workouts?

I always liked Paul Katami for his form pointers. He's very precise.

KCM has moved a little too quickly and not offered enough reminders for my daughter as she begins.

Jeannine...great list!!
I would add Cathe's slow and heavy. Really recommend Kathy's Secrets to great upper/lower has explanations prior to the moves as far as where to focus.

I second that one. Also her Maximum Intensity Strength. Cathe does a lot more form instruction in her earlier weight series, IMHO.

I truly beleive that the Old School instructors really made an effort to give good form pointers. (Kathy Smith, Charlene Prickett, Gilad, early Cathe, etc.)

I look at some of the new ones and it's like they assume you know to engage your abs and use good breathing technique for lifting. I like some of the new YouTube instructors, but really don't know if they have any kind of certifications.

One of the all-time best cuers is Gin Miller. Yet, her kettlebell workout is downright dangerous, IMHO.

Be careful out there!
