? For Cathe fans

What’s the hardest Cathe workout? Doesn’t necessarily have to be Cathe, but looking for a really tough workout led by a female instructor. Not that I plan to DO the workout, but want to show it to a guy that thinks female led workouts are silly and super easy.

Oh yes! I had a fitness instructor at a bootcamp class that laughed when I told him I did "videos" for fitness for years. He had NO idea! The weird thing is he knew I was strong, that I had good form and had been working out for a long time, but wouldn't believe that all that came from DVDs/videos.

I would show your friend Cathe's Drill Max or Afterburn or Athletic training. Or tell him to do Pyramid Upper Body and heavy up about 10 - 15 lbs over Cathe.

The thing is..he'd have to really do these workouts real time. No way previewing helps him understand how hard these workouts are. Here are a few of my nominees:

Hannah Eden would bring a man to his knees. You can find her on YouTube if you don't have her 28 day fat torch.

Cathe Afterburn...and To the Max..I have only watched it but looks brutal

Amy Dixon Breathless bodies

Autumn Calabrese Is hardly silly or easy in Hammer and Chisel.

ETA: Ilaria Montagnani

I have run into several silly female trainers who baby talk on youtube so that may be his limited experience. I have never done those and they may not be easy workouts.. presentation is just awful.

Silly doesn't mean easy... (BJ Gaddour, Tony Horton, Leandro Carvahlo, Gin Miller.... please stand and raise your hands..)

These Cathe workouts would be my picks:

1. The Terminator (any of the the three workouts on this DVd) but my favorite is the Gauntlet
2. The Original BootCamp
3. Drill Max
4. To the Max

Caroline Girvan on youtube. She's a ball of muscle! Not silly or super easy.

Don't show him anything with choreograph -- they can't follow therefore it's silly.

I agree that watching versus doing the workout may not give the full effect. And it also depends on what your friend's gauge for hard is and whether he mostly lifts weights or does any sort of cardio or both.

That being said, Cathe's entire Ripped with HIIT series comes to mind, as well as the Hardcore series (Gym Styles, Imax 3, etc) and I would think STS too.

I also second the suggestions for The Terminator workouts (Gauntlet, etc), Drill Max, To the Max, Cross Fire, Tabatacise....I could go on because there are quite a few goodies!!

Sandra Koularides Horizontal Conditioning Boot Camp is the hardest workout I've ever owned. When I was in really good shape a few years ago, I completed it once but had to modify a lot.

I'd put every HC workout on that list actually!

And how could I forget the Gym Styles? Chest & Triceps infamously starts with 72 push-ups in a drop set.
