Exclamation Just so you know ... the Economics of Streaming is Not Right!

It may not just be a case of slow/no technology.
In my case, I am a pretty low-value customer of these things.
But I am proud enough to know where my royalty money goes, when I do support these workout choreographers/creators.

Instead of affording many live classes, this is how I support them.

A sort of example, even though I've left off practicing much yoga:

Let me start by saying I. have. been. through. the. mill. with. live. yoga. teachers.

I used to think and feel, for instance ... they (at one particular studio) were doing everything in the book, short of outright chicanery, to try to get me to come to more than 2 or 3 classes a month (they'd known I practiced, strongly, at home.) In my ignorance at the time, I'd told them I'll practice with you if you go on Yogaglo (knowing I did not have the streaming speed and they did not have the outright b@lls to do so).

Maybe a solution is to go to a fitness studio or yoga studio's OWN streaming site ... worst case scenario is the royalties go to one set studio, if not the individual teacher.

I don't have enough luck with anything streaming to do it as a main workout source. (If you're sorting through thousands of possibilities, it's hard to find a good one.) That's why I still do DVDs, because I know the content of the DVD. So I still use the reviews section.

It's true that postings to the Exchange board have slowed down a bit...I know from moderating that there are not quite as many as there used to be. But I wouldn't describe it as "dead," as there are still plenty of active posters, including myself!

So please come trade with me; I am not picky! Currently willing to trade the entire 6-DVD Drop Two Sizes set (and possibly more!) for a single DVD.

Another thank you to Beth for your reviews. I have read many and really appreciate them.

Another prolific reviewer whose tastes seem to match mine is Laura S - she is partly to blame for my current obsession with all things Evolution. Thank you Laura!

Well, if I'm going to be blamed for something, that's not a bad thing for it to be. I hope you're enjoying your current obsession!

When I want to find reviews and info about workouts here on VF in GD, I use google and put in videofitness.com plus the workout name. It seems more effective than using the vf search.

That's how I search GD too. At the VF site I have more success with tag searches instead of the search dropdown on the toolbar, but Google beats both.

So true! I do this too, and it's much faster.
