Yeah, people find VF through both portals - the forum and the reviews. I've seen quite a few people say they found VF through the reviews, the result of a Google search. Sometimes, it has taken them awhile to realize there is a forum as well. Then, there are those that find the forum and don't realize there is a reviews database. Recently, a newbie was saying that she wished we had reviews apart from the GD. I pointed them out and I think she was over there like a shot.

I truly don't even understand the concept of judging reviews. The thought has never crossed my mind to judge a review or that a review of mine would be judged. How can a person's opinion of a workout be right or wrong?
Or, is it how a review is written that 'judging' refers to? Some people break the workout down into exercises and reps. Some just offer an overall opinion. Again neither method is right or wrong. Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand why anyone would be concerned that their review is being judged |

One of the things to keep in mind is that the world has changed since the reviews database was started. It used to be that very few workouts were released, clips were non-existent, and, when they were released, they were expensive. Because of that old-time reviews may have needed to longer with more details so people would know enough about it to know whether it was worth it or not. These days, there are so many sources of information, that any and all opinions are good, especially so we can get a mass of informaiton so people can tell whether they woud like it or not.

The last review I wrote turned out to be more of a description of the workout than a review. After I posted it, I wondered if I should have done it that way. Sometimes it's really hard to render an opinion without describing the workout, but I worry about getting too wordy and losing the reader's interest.
Even a short review that says - too long, bad music, no fun would be useful.
