Wonderful! I wish it were less pricey, but it sounds worth it!!

I liked it too. In the interest of full disclosure, I didn't do the whole thing straight through, but I practiced some of the moves and used them in a pilates mat class I was teaching. I enjoy teaching the standing work (I am certainly not an expert!) and think the participants really enjoyed a different perspective on classical pilates.

Yes, it's like the blurb on the box says - "Enjoy Pilates in a different plane". I kept thinking, "I didn't know you could do that standing up!"

I think the fun thing for me has been discovering how the work was meant to be translated into functional movement (Joe was all about doing other things). My current certifying organization, PhysicalMind, has a standing pilates certification, but it's so far from the original work and looks..weird and busy. LOL After I'm all done with PhysicalMind, I plan to pursue a more classical certification and really work with a good instructor to learn more of the standing work.

Natural - have you tried the bonus feature, "Joe's Combo"? Michael and Ton said they developed it from archival footage of Joseph Pilates' exercises and it's close to his original standing work.

I haven't tried it, but it looks very challenging.

I did the Triad Ball workout tonight with my pink mini-ball from the 10MS Quick Sculpt Pilates kit.

I managed well, apart from the criss-cross (pic posted upthread) which would have been challenging even with a larger ball. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

The workout was great - the ball was incorporated well throughout, and added quite a challenge in some exercises. As well, you use the ball for some lovely stretches.

Which classical certification are you considering?

I just learned of the Pilates Triad ball because it is used in some of the
exercises covered in Pilates for Hip and Knee Syndromes and
Arthroplasties
~~ a new book by Beth Kaplanek.

Also, thanks for the direct link, great to know about the
manual and dvds available...

I'm tossing the idea around of going with Peak, but I would really like to get some experience teaching with (and being mentored by) a really great classical instructor.
