Oh hey! I guess I never posted yesterday -- ended up having a full rest day. Usually I walk and/or do yoga, but I was pretty lazy yesterday..... but did get chores done!

Sue, I'm so glad you had a great birthday!!!

This morning on my rotation was an STS mess 3 back/chest, but I subbed in Slow and Heavy instead. Really glad I did -- that slow and heavy really gets me feeling the muscles I'm meant to be working. I really liked it.

Kim, do you ever look at the rotations posted in Cathe's forum? That might help you get some inspiration (sometimes it gives me too much! ). You can always sub in like workouts from another instructor and just follow her scaffolding.

Thanks for that suggestion, Bee. I have seen Cathe’s rotations but I never did any, thinking it would be too intense if I just did Cathe. The idea to sub in different instructors is a great idea.

I used to have my husband pick my workout for the day. I would tell him right side or left side (meaning the shelf of workouts on the right or left side of the tv) then he would tell me, “4 down from the top” or whatever he thought of. If I couldn’t decide what I wanted to do he would make the decision for me and it forced me to do workouts that I might not pick on my own. It was fun.

I like doing workouts along with others here because it makes it seem like we’re doing them together. We can compare notes, makes it fun.

That's funny Kim!! And it is a good way to do workouts you might not typically do.

Yesterday I did Afterburn Bonus Burn premix followed by one of Sydney Cummings flexibility/mobility workouts. The only "quibble" I have about the Bonus Burn is when Cathe does the kickbox-like move where you're going into a back lunge, coming up into a kick with the other leg (hope that made sense) she only does the right side. So all of the kicks are on the right leg. So I had to rewind and do the exercise on the left leg. Not a big deal, but just wonder why they cut out the exercise on the left side??

I hope you all are having a good weekend! Hugs and waves to you!!

Today was Supercuts. Another virgin that I used to shy away from. I loved it!!!! Quick, no dread and a great burn!

I hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday.
Supercuts does fly by quick! I like the no repeat factor!

Today I did chair cardio for 40 minutes then some leg/hip/glutes floor work for 15 minutes. Looking forward to some sunshine today! It's been cold with ight snow the past few days.

Doing a quick drive-by here and will post more later, but Manleym, when she gets to that interval, I switch legs halfway through so I'm even on both sides without having to repeat the entire interval again. So on the 12th one, the leg kicking goes back for the lunge in a quick switch (hope this makes sense!). I do the same with the dragging legs/staggered pushups, I switch lead arms halfway through so I'm even on both sides. I got that suggestion from someone, can't remember who, but it works!

Happy Sunday evening fierce friends!!

I'm writing this a tad sunburned as we spent a lot of time cleaning up the patio/planting things/etc. outside today and it's SO NICE here. The sun improved my mood so much but my burned shoulders aren't too happy with me.

ChelePA , hope you got some sun too!

Kim, I'm debating which of Michelle's to do this week but think More Cardio Interval Burn MUST make it in there!

Momofcha, did you Joni-O Kickmax the other day? And 50 roses, that is such a sweet friend!!

I did Turbo Barre today, wondering how it would feel because it's been a while since I've done any barre workouts and I used to do them a LOT. I enjoyed it...but...it did not feel like I was working very hard! I'm not sure if it's because I have other barre workouts I recall as being killer (Ballet Physique and Leah come to mind) or if all the heavier weight training has really, really had a positive impact! I really don't know what to think. I'd have to try some of my other barre workouts to know, but I am not in the mood right now, hah!! I guess this was what I needed today after all the outdoor activity but I also felt sort of disappointed, if that makes sense!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! We played lots of board games and started another 1000 piece puzzle. This will be our fourth one. It really is the one thing that keeps my mind focused and distracted besides exercise.

Tomorrow I have another x-ray to see how my foot is healing. Hoping I get approval for partial weight bearing.

I was up early so I decided to get my workout in for the day. Ice Chiseled Upper Body with Icy Core 1...I really enjoy this one. It has some unique moves as well as traditional. And I like the music too Plus it's one that is easily done with my broken foot. I may check out some of the Lives for today and do some seated cardio. Looks like she has a few kickboxing ones in the line up for this week.

Edited to add that I ended up doing In the Ring with my 1 pound weighted gloves and modifying lower body moves for some chair cardio. I was actually sweating much to my surprise.

Kitty bug - my friend is amazing and I did end up Joni-oing kick max

Today was another Cathe live - you bet your bootcamp. I enjoyed it, but I think Cathe live would kill me. Even strength workouts are fast paced. My hips need a break.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Happy Monday!

kittybug - interesting about your reaction to Turbo Barre. It doesn't really surprise me, since that happened to me years ago (though as I said, I had been doing barre and you haven't). I do think as barre workouts go, Turbo Barre is actually on the light side. "Real" barre workouts are more difficult!

ChelePA - good luck with the X-ray -- hope you get some good news!

This morning I did Kick Punch Crunch. I think I might have JoniO'ed Kick Max, too. As it was, I skipped the last combo in KPC this morning -- honestly I just get bored with kickboxing these days, for whatever reason.

Oh, and yes, Kim, loved your husband's way of creating a rotation for you! I don't think I could ever do that. I like a little more control I guess.

Have a great day, fierce friends!
