Good morning & happy TGIF!

Yesterday’s workouts:
~Essentrics class on zoom
~Trail walk
~BellyFit Flow: Ice Queen
~Insight Timer: The River of Life

Sherry - You’ve been through so much, it’s good to be gentle with yourself.

Beth - Love your FB pic! Yes my sister is 12 years older than me & lives about 25 miles from me. We aren’t overly close, but we have a very good relationship. She is very type A & driven, into a multitude of activities and hobbies. She will be 76 next month and is quite amazing, very into cycling & will cycle her age in kilometres on her birthday. We didn’t spend a lot of time together as pre-covid they spent their winters in Mexico & we were travelling a lot and spending time in Victoria. DH & I have been meeting her & my BIL for walks. It’s been nice to reconnect, one positive of us both being home.

Sandra - Jessica’s 360 Abs is a fave of mine.

My sister customized that Simpsons print for me and DH as a Christmas gift (I love how I am in the green yoga shirt); I just customized it a little further.

Yesterday was fun:

~ Bellyfit TV2 class 1, Confidence
~ Participated in a yin / yoga nidra workshop through my yoga studio.

I was overjoyed and surprised to see my grandniece Charlotte join in via Zoom. I haven't seen her since September when she and her boyfriend suddenly moved to Vermont. So needless to say, it was a very joyful workshop and we agree that we had a little astral visit with each other while deep in nidra.

Pam, thanks for motivating me to get back into Bellyfit. I haven't been using them because of portions in some that make me not want to do the whole workout. But, there are more portions that I love. So last night I asked myself - "How can I make this fun?" For anything I didn't care for I either subbed out something else or just skipped that section altogether. I plan to go through the whole collection and just find the joy in them again. Last night I skipped the weird dumbbell isolation in the BFTV 2 workouts.

Sherry it's good to see you back and working out again.

Today is an unplanned rest day. This morning I got distracted doing kitchen work and food prep. If I don't workout in the morning, it usually doesn't get done later in the day.

Pat, how fun to share the Zoom yoga class with your grandniece. I bet you were the inspiration for your grandniece to get into yoga.

Happy Weekend all!

This morning I went to the Saturday morning yoga class at the studio taught by my lovely friend Carol and then a barre class after. I always forget that actual barre classes are FAST (as opposed to videos).

Hello!

Friday was a planned rest day.

Today's Workout: I don't own the DVD that Jessica specifies for Day 8 of her Calm & Strong rotation, so I did the YouTube alternative which was Single Sided Strength. This one was a little different and I enjoyed it, but I don't know if or when I'll do it again.

Yogapam: I enjoyed hearing about your sister!

Pat58: How sweet you got to connect with your grandniece!

~7 km trail walk, we met some people on horseback along the way, a lovely treat.
~Long reclined & seated stretch....forward bends, hip openers, twists, & finished with a long yin chest opener using a bolster
~Insight Timer: Mountain Visualization

Pat - So happy you we able to connect with your grand niece! I’m glad you enjoyed BellyFit. I just worked my way through BF TV2 & I also skipped the dumbbell segments at the end.

Beth - I’ve often found live barre classes more challenging that online ones.

This morning I did an hour long NIA class. I may or may not do yoga later.

I had signed up for the Bellyfit twelve class zoom series. I have peeked at the first three. I think I will like them and may try one of them this week.

I'll try to post again later .
