Hello.

Sunday's Workout: I did High Voltage with Margaret Richard. Although this is on her Classics compilation it doesn't feel as dated as the other routines on that DVD, and I really like the dockside setting. Got in a 1.5-hour walk also.

No workout on Monday, but I did walk outside for two hours.

Today's Workout: I almost pulled out yet another Margaret DVD, but decided it was time to change course. Instead I did the short routine from Lee Holden's Qi Gong For Better Balance, which I just received today in the mail. It was gentle yet challenging in spots. I had done many of the same exercises in some of his other DVDs, but some were new. The short routine is only about 15 minutes which will make it a perfect add-on. I walked outside for an hour as well.

Garrie: Good to hear from you! I'm glad your mom is doing better.

Take care everyone!

Quick post and run fly by - working massively long hours this week to get some end of year stuff wrapped up and boy oh boy, is that clock ticking loudly!!!

Be back in a day or two.

Stay well and if I'm not back tomorrow, best wishes for a safe, healthy and Happy New Year to my friends.

Hello everyone!

Yesterday was:
- CS1311 Improve Your Balance
- DYWM - Breathe Better: The Side Body. I don't know what I did but after this practice I ended up with a lot of pain in my lower back for the rest of the day and I hardly ever get back pain. It's usually my hips that start complaining.
- Ekhart Yoga - Silver Lake, Lower Back Relief. I did this in the evening and it did help a lot.
- Beth's Lovingkindness Meditation for those who are hurting. A lovely meditation Beth, thank you.

Today, I'm taking it easy:
- YoQi Yin Yoga for Happy Lungs

Garrie - I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom but am happy to hear she is doing well now. What a worrying time for you. ((Hugs))

Sandra - I think a 2 hour walk is definitely considered a workout. I like adding on short workouts too. In fact, I prefer to string together several short practices instead of one long one. Somehow, it's easier mentally for me to do this!

Pam - A lovely mix of workouts for you, as usual. Are you enjoying getting back on the rebounder?

Cyana - Good luck in getting things all wrapped up for the year. Hope you can find a few moments to fit in some relaxation time.

Thinking of our dear friend Sherry.

Waves to all.

Still so stunned about Sherry's husband. I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone well. Take care of yourselves and make the most of every day because tomorrow you just may not be here.
I struggle with death and impermanence and yet I know that every moment is a change. I hope you all will stay well and know that I'm thinking of your all and sending you much Metta and good health!

Paine, what did you think of Kate's practice? I have liked all of them so far, although yesterday's "Core Connection" was definitely tougher. I didn't feel like I had the energy for her today so I did a Barbara Benagh practice instead.

Kate, I know what you mean. I am better about change in some areas (like work), but when it comes to people and relationships, I struggle with it too.

Beth, I liked Kate's practice and in fact, I'm pretty sure that I heard about her from you, so thank you for mentioning her! Lately, I have been needing more gentle workouts.

Yes, Paine, I posted about Kate on the sadhana thread. She is a local yoga teacher here and I've done class with her a couple of times.
