Hi Everyone,
This morning was: Caroline Sandry - Pilates in Motion Core Caroline Sandry - 30 days to total body tone - arms and legs I enjoyed the 30 day to total body tone workouts - not really classical Pilates but Pilates inspired. The Pilates in Motion is essentially a circuit walking workout. Cheri - glad you got the weekend off in the middle of the crazy season. Hope everyone has a good day. Oh - last night I squeeze in a 20 min yoga w/ Adriene. Being reminded of her upcoming challenge inspired me to do one of her practices. Unshaken Yoga is doing a 5 day yoga challenge starting 12/20. I may join in. It is the same as last year's, but that is ok. Denika is Michelle (from Faithful Workouts) daughter. I may tack on some additional workouts, too since I will be off work until the new year/decade after Friday. Donna |

Monday's workout was
Get Healthy U TV - Walk, Sweat & Sculpt: Upper Body - 32 minutes This "walking" workout was no joke! It's set up in blocks of 5 minutes of walking followed by five minutes of sculpting. The first sculpting block was chest (starting with push ups) and back, the second was bi's and tri's, and the last was shoulders and abs. I was feeling it last night, but this morning I don't hurt too badly. Cheri - I'm surprised you all get any days off during the Christmas retail season! Christine - I am a numbers person, so I can at least communicate with DS somewhat. I bought him a Christmas ornament that has the definition of an engineer as "1. someone who solves problems you didn't you know had, using methods you do not understand; 2. someone who has forgotten more about math than you ever knew" (or something like that). He got a kick out of it. Donna - Nice workouts Donna. I always forget about Caroline Sandry. I do like her a lot. Linda - I'm having that feeling more and more with Kelly's workouts these days. I used to love all her stuff, but now I find I rarely do any of it, and it has a bit of a dread factor for me. Waves to all ~ Carol |

Hello,
Shaped by Faith: Pilates with Props We are getting a mixture of snow and some ice today so, no walk! Carol, that made me laugh! I can totally relate to what the ornament says, lol! Thanks for mentioning it because it got me searching gifts for engineers and I think I found a book my DH would like. It's an updated version of "The way things work". Donna, I'm going to look into Caroline Sandry. I prefer Pilates inspired over classical. Linda, it's nice to have variety! Cheri, glad you enjoyed your weekend off! Those boxers... Waves, everyone!

Nothing for me today.
I went back to the endodontist this morning to finish the root canal I had done before Thanksgiving. So that's done with. Hopefully. She also looked at another tooth that's been giving me problems, the one I had a filing done at the end of October by my regular dentist. My regular dentist didn't see any problems with it when I've complained about the pain on follow up visits. Turns out it was not all in my head (so to speak) but the filling was so close to the nerve that it irritated it to the point that I required root canal on that tooth. So, that's what I did this morning. Had a root canal. I go back at the end of January to finish it off. We'll see if that actually will make my pain go away. I'm irate and have very little faith left in medical professionals. I feel like doctors and dentists just go through the motions and follow the path of least resistance. Do minimum necessary and pass the patients on to "specialists". Having been in pain on/off since late October, I really feel for people who experience chronic pain. It just sucks the life out of you. Sorry for the rant.

Today was Method Pilates Target specifics plus...great outdoor shots off and on and a nice workout with yoga inspired moves blended in. I have only ever done the abs on this but finally did the other sections and glad I did. The butt and leg sections are great with a combo of standing and floor work that included balance work. The arms was meh..I won't do that section again.
Dana you are really having a tough time.. go ahead and rant. I hope you can get some relief very soon. Cheryl did you like your DVD workout? I have wondered for people who usually have streaming or online workouts if it's weird when they switch to a DVD? Hope the rest of you folks are having a good week :-)

Tuesday's workout was
Cathe - LITE: PHA 2 - Timesaver Mix #3 - 26 minutes I really enjoyed this PHA workout - I love that it elevates my heart rate (but not horribly) as we move from upper body to lower body exercises. It's a sneaky way to get a little cardio in. I need to add my pilates back in before bedtime. I think I would sleep better if I did. Dana - Feel free to rant. Dental work is awful. Linda - I don't remember that Method DVD. I remember having lots of them many years ago. Cheryl - So you bought a pilates chair? Christine - I'll bet my DS would enjoy that book as well. Waves to Donna & Cheri! Carol |
