Okay, I hang my head in shame as I consider purchasing because I already have the TRX and Rip60. I really like how very portable the Gflex appears to be. I am considering selling the TRX on Craig's List.

I am tempted, even though I know I can't use it in my house because the doors are too flimsy!

For those who ordered this, any opinions on it yet?

I received it but I'm battling the flu right now. The nylon strap is a thinner width than the TRX and appears to be inferior but the TRX costs 6 times as much. Setup is quick and the strap length is easy to adjust. I'm a little worried about the black cord that connects the handles. I hope it doesn't snap. Supposedly the unit can handle 225 lbs. It cautions that whatever you attach the Gflex too should be sturdy and able to hold 300 lbs. It's lightweight and very portable. I think it's nice for the price. It functions well and I was able to perform many exercises. I don't know how durable it will be in the long run.

I don't have Rip:60 but looks like it's constructed much better and comes with 10 dvds. It's about $90 more. It also looks a lot heavier and not as portable.

There are many suspension trainers besides the TRX and Rip:60. I would buy the Gflex over something like the Jungle Gym, Gravity Bar, and other lower price point contraptions.

I would guess that the rotating pulley would have a smoother, frictionless feel than rip:60, which basically has the nylon straps rubbing against a smooth, curved surface. A pulley should force your core to stabilize your movements more, since it moves more freely, whereas the rip:60 strap stays in place when there is tension on it (and even older models had a locking pin).
