Pshew, we made it to 2021! I hope this year will be much, much better than last.

Since my "workout week" starts on a Sunday, I will post this week's workouts:

Sunday:
STS Mesocycle 3, Disc 34 (Chest & Back)

Monday:
Unplanned rest day for me but I TAUGHT a step class

Tuesday:
STS Mesocycle 3, Disc 40 (Squat Rack Legs)
Xtrain 100 Rep Hip Thrust Challenge

Wednesday:
Marcus Irwin's Step Pro (gift from my Secret Santa, and I ed it! I even had to chapter back and do the final product again because I was having so much fun.)

Thursday:
TAUGHT TNT class (lower body with a glute focus, did both standing and mat work)
STS Mesocycle 3, Disc 36 (Shoulders, Biceps & Triceps; and that completes Round 2 of STS! )

Yesterday (HAPPY NEW YEAR! )
Cathe's Great Glutes (Or should I say, "Happy New Rear!" I did the Extreme premix that featured the main workout plus the bonus chair segment.)

Sandra: Thanks for starting us off! That is nice to have a coffee get-together with a fellow VFer. My boss at the rec center is a fellow home workout junkie like me, and we had a small DVD viewing party a few weeks ago. Her collection is much smaller than mine (and I've enabled her more times than I care to count ).

Cyana: That is such a nice poem. Mom's still continuing to improve, and has not been using oxygen at all the past few days.

Kate: Good to see you!

Beth: It was a quiet NYE for me, too.

Pam: I love your Frankenworkout combos!

I'm still thinking of Sherry, of course.

Waves to all!

Garrie, I'll post my workout week tomorrow too. Today is likely to be another quiet day, so I hope to summarize my yearly workout totals and do my comparisons to prior years.

Yes, it’s nice but quite gentle IIRC.

Off to teach on zoom, be back later to post & chat!

Quick wave - the big news - DS and DIL will be coming by this afternoon after they do an outdoor holiday celebration with a few of their closest friends. This will be the first time I've seen DS since March, so I'm super excited about that. Fortunately, we have a nice front porch with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We also have nice weather today so we won't be freezing or getting soaked.

Beth - I did that episode on ETV recently and it's a good Miranda movement/stretchy episode. I'd definitely do it again and the scenery is lovely (the Jamaica scenery definitely gets bonus points this time of year ).

Be back to chat later. I did two work-outs this AM...hoping to squeeze in some yoga later.

Jessica Smith Gentle Yoga Plus Pilates (Standing Series 30 minute practice)
Essentrics

I loved Jessica's Pilates workout that I did yesterday but I didn't like her 30 minute Standing Series practice because it had more traditional standing yoga poses which I'm not that fond of. The purchase of that DVD is still worth it to me for that Pilates floor workout that I loved.

Carolyn, I'm glad your sister-in-law is doing well with a cane now.
I love to drizzle Balsamic vinegar on my cooked Swiss chard. The Balsamic vinegar I like is from Napa Valley Natural Grand Reserve--it has 4% acidity, (it's NOT the one with 6% acidity). I buy that particular balsamic vinegar from Whole Foods. It's this one:

Garrie, it's neat that you loved Marcus Irwin's Step Pro workout so much.

Cyana, enjoy your visit with your DS & DIL!

Beth, the colors are so vibrant in that workout of Miranda's. It does look gentle, as Pam said.

Thanks all; I'll add that to my watch later list for when I need something gentle. I wish that YT didn't do away with the Notes feature.

Hi!

Today's Workout: Essentrics Arms, Abs & Waist Toner with Sahra.

Garrie: "Happy New Rear" indeed! Another advantage to having a local VF buddy is being able to borrow and lend DVDs. Although our tastes overlap somewhat, we are different enough to make that activity interesting! Also, whenever one of us gets something new we make it available for borrowing -- as an example, she has my new Jessica Smith to try out.

Cyana: Hope you have a wonderful visit!

Waving to all!

A quick fly by for me....

Today’s activities:
~Taught Essentrics on zoom
~Reps to the Rhythm: 2000 Steps in 16 minutes - I installed the AdBlock app in hopes it would cut back on ad interruptions and I didn’t get any in this one. Time will tell if it’s a coincidence.
~25 min rebounding
~Body Groove: Groovy Yoga
~YogiBethC: Be Kind to Your Wandering Mind Meditation
~Insight Timer: Sound Meditation Flow Chimes

Cyana - I hope you had a wonderful visit with your son & DIL! I’m so happy for you, that’s a long time! I remember how much I missed my youngest when he was away for long stretches. Enjoy every minute!

Waves to all!

Hi everyone! Sorry to be MIA for a few days, I've been sort of walking around in the ether.

Keeping up with the sadhana with yoga most days and meditation every day. I'm four workouts away from finishing Lucy's Advent rotation. My planned workouts for yesterday did not happen but I found a Tias Little meditation, "Animal Spirits Within the Chakras," which was nice! I did not know that the chakras have animal totem connections.

I'll try to catch up a little tomorrow or later.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
