RIP Chadwick Boseman. I was shocked when I got the alert last night. I thought it was a joke. I woke my daughter to let her know. He’s from my home state so an extra special place in my heart for him. We loved him as Black Panther. RIP

Linda Hamilton’s twin sister, Leslie, has passed away at the age of 63. She was not an actress but had a little bit of screen time in T2. RIP

So sad about Chadwick Boseman. My doctor has said she is seeing more and more cases of colon cancer in younger patients. My girl friend’s son was treated for colon cancer at the age of 21. RIP

Video instructor Jon Giswold apparently passed away last week, according to Terri Walsh on FB. Here's an early CIA step video he made. He was a good instructor, RIP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrY8Ypjg3kY

Petra Kolber posted about him on Facebook. I meant to mention it here. Thank you for posting.

I checked Petra's page - she wrote a lovely tribute and there were so many names I recognized in the comments. Jon really touched the lives of a lot of people.

I was shocked at Chadwick Boseman's death too. Black Panther was the only Marvel movie I liked.

Another sad death - Tom Seaver of the NY Mets, aged 75. He was suffering from Lewy Body Dementia but died from Covid-19.

R.I.P. Tom Terrific

That is sad. Two awful diseases. When I was in elementary school in Queens Tom Seaver was nothing less than a god.

Very sad. I think I watched every game of the 1969 baseball season. Such an exciting team! RIP.

I grew up in Floral Park, on the Nassau side after moving to Long Island from Woodside. Seaver was very much revered in our house too! Fast forward to adulthood - we moved to San Diego and, through my husband's job, became good friends with Tom's cousin, Ken. We all went to New Zealand together. It's really a small world.

We did as well. I distinctly remember during the 1969 World Series, our art teacher had the game playing on the radio during class. Didn't get much artwork done but we rooted for our Mets!
