I'm glad you and your family are safe. Miss Gracie deserves the best meal and pampering for Christmas. She's a hero!

It's perfectly normal to be devastated of losing your possessions even if they are replacable. Please feel free to share whatever you are looking to replace. I would happily send a copy as you rebuild.

I am glad to hear you are OK, and bless your wonderful dog! she deserves a spa treatment for dogs!!

when you file your claim, list the DVDs anyway. I was able to claim all of the DVDs stolen from our house a little over 10 years ago, including movies and workout DVDs (and even some movies we rented from the library) with our insurance policy.

Julie, I'm so sorry for the trauma and loss, but glad that you and your family are safe! But it's very scary that your smoke alarms didn't go off. You're lucky to have Gracie, what a wonderful dog! Sending prayers your way.

another reminder to check your smoke alarms. most of them start beeping when the battery runs low, but still, always good to check periodically.

same thing with fire extinguishers - check to see if they're still reliable, and i believe you can take it to your nearby fire department to see if they're OK.

I'm so relieved to hear you all made it out OK but I can't imagine how devastated you all must be! Gracie is indeed a special pet!

Yes, please - when you have time, make a list of DVD's you'd like to replace and we'll do our best to help! I know I can give you some.
