Evening Shade was a joy to watch. The cast included Ossie Davis and Hal Halsbrook. A wonderful cast and solid writing made me appreciate his acting abilities. Burt Reynolds, thank you.

although I was underage, I had a gander at that! omg - thanks for that reminder! it was done in good taste - he has nothing to regret over.

question: was that before or after playgirl came along? in other words, which publication was the first to have CF men?

edited to add: cosmo was the first. PG came out in 1973.

HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN?????

I was in high school, and I remember my girlfriends and I staring at that centerfold and looking at each other in awe.

ooh nooo. I was watching I dream of Jeannie that day. Bless his heart. I liked him on the show. I knew the remaining cast was old but not that old when I looked them up a few months ago.

I loved the Bob Newhart episode where Bob and Emily were being held up at gun point and were facing a wall in their apartment with their hands on the wall over their heads. Howard runs in and says something like, "Oh no, let me help" and runs over and puts his hands on the wall, too." He thought the wall was falling down.

Howard Borden was one of my all-time favorite TV characters. My Mom and I would laugh so hard at him! (One of my best memories of my Mom.)

RIP Mr. Daily
