They're VERY HARD, I would say. If you do a lot of Cathe, you will be able to do them, but you will still find them to be advanced, I think.
The thing about Cathe vs. DB is that DB is very amateur compared to Cathe in terms of the filming, production, speed, etc. It's not necessarily a bad thing for everyone (it was for me, so I sold my set)...but the workouts are super-fast-paced, and there are little things that give Cathe workouts an edge over DB. For example, I do not think the girls have much experience doing actual DVD workouts.

I have the set and I still don't know what to think of it. I certainly don't reach for it much. On one hand they are challenging, high intensity workouts that waste no time. On the other, they are frantic and jerky. It's a double edged sword. I think I've only done each DVD twice, so not enough to see results, but I do remember my abs and inner thighs being sore after doing those DVDs. If you don't mind super fast paced workouts (that sometimes sacrifice form) than they might be for you.

I do most of the same type of workouts as you (minus barre, which I don't like). The constant breathless chatter, the ridiculous tempo, and the non-modifying modifiers = trade.

Yes the workouts are challenging but definitely doable. Many of the moves have a cardio factor but there are also a lot of floor exercises. They do a lot of plank cardio, pushups, lunges, various plyo moves, pilates-type ab work, all while holding two pound weights that will end up weighing more than two pounds!! I used these a whole lot actually. I prefer challenging workouts, for dvd workouts I use Cathe most of the time, and I like these a lot. I don't think they will be too hard, it is more of will the flow of the workouts coupled with the instructors' speech patterns be something that you dislike.

I bought this set ($50 discounted price) and promptly sold it. It was too fast and too hard for me. If you decide to give it a try, I would try to buy it used since a lot of people who purchased at the discounted price were unsatisfied. Try Ya Yas or EBay.........
