Pat - You could try something lower like a step stool or the stairs as Paine & Jackie suggested. But the bottom line is....if it doesn't feel good, don't do it.

I don't mind using the chair. I watched the tutorial videos that CS sent in an email recently. One showed how to pick the proper chair, and one showed how to use the chair properly during the workouts. They were both very helpful to me.

Hmmm. How does one get these tutorial videos? I thought I was on their email list. I need to check that out.

Joni, I am not sure how you find them, other than the email. Maybe they are posted on the website? Maybe Jackie might have an ideal... I am going to try and post a link.

Joni, I went to the Essentrics website, and found them right on the home page! That first section that you can scroll through, that is where I found them. It says "All about Chair/Barre workouts."

I do the same. The outside chair has been in my living room since I noticed how great it works with Essentrics/CS. Sometimes I put a KB in it so it's heavier.

I dread the chair portion, until I get to it. Those chair segments do more for my back than anything else, even T-Tapp (which is my go-to rehab workout).

Hope I will get to that point. It looks so beneficial and even enjoyable.
