If I Ddn't Like "30 Minutes to Fitness Weights" ---

... would I like "30 mInutes to Fitness Muscle Definition?" I am desperately trying to find weight workouts I will really enjoy and use besides Cathe's Slow & Heavy, her other weight dvd's, and P90X chest, back, shoulder and arms workouts. Guess I didn't like the 30 Minutes Weight workout, because I don't care for functional work, good as they may be, but the Muscle Definition looks like it would be more of a one-body-part at a time routine.

Any comments on this workout? I really have to broaden my horizons, but have a slew of unused, or watched-one-time-only workouts that I have to trade or sell if I ever get around to it, and hate to add another one to my "just sitting there" list.

Thanks much!

Honestly, I don't think so. I hated 30 Minutes to Fitness Weights and also hated 30 Minutes to Fitness Muscle Definition. There were some compound exercises (which I don't like) and Kelly put a new spin on a few traditional exercises, which I also didn't like.

I like both of these workouts, but I agree with Tracy's assessment - if you didn't like 30 Minutes to Fitness Weights, then you probably won't like Muscle Definition either.

I agree!! Kelly is Kelly and if you didn't like Weights I (personally) think you wouldn't care for Definition

Talking Thank you for saving me some $$$

I also really have not been thrilled w/ KCM but all of the hype on the new series has given me "avoiders remorse"-not anymore! Thanks to you all!

Wow! First time I came on here and saved money! Thanks, gals. Any ideas about who to go to, to vary my Cathe, Tony and Spinervals workouts?

Normandy, thanks for posting this question. I was wondering the same thing since I didn't like 30 MTF Weights either. Maybe I can take MD off my wish list now.

I am using STS at this time. The only weight training workouts that actually work well with it are Amy Bento's APX, and Slo-Mo. I add my own rest period in between sets.

I second the rec. for Amy's strength dvds, they complement pretty much any program/ rotation I have done.

I too disliked 30 MTF weights, I had muscle definition on my list of wishes but took it off. After all, that's how I ended up with so many unused workouts to begin with.

I'll have to learn to let some of the wagons go by without jumping on them I guess

I have to say, I didn't like the "30 Minutes to Weights" workout (traded it!), but I absolutely **love** Muscle Definition (two snaps up!) IMO, the music is a lot better (nice instrumental versions of the Bee Gees "You Should Be Dancin'", Chicago's "Saturday in the Park", Stevie Wonder's "Sir Duke" and "Superstitious" are some that I remember.) I also felt the moves flowed better, and I like the chapter menu & pre-mixes a LOT better! And my arms were TOAST when I was done (I did both 30-minute workouts back to back.)
