sherry, could you just build up a lot of heavy blankets behind your back? at least try it out until you decide whether to spring for the more expensive options.

is this temporary or permanent? that would also have a bearing on your decision.

My chiropractor told me he uses an hour-glass shaped pillow between his legs (the narrow part is where your knees go), and that keeps him on his side. They're not too expensive. https://www.google.com/search?q=side...w=1864&bih=978

That looks like a much less cumbersome option. Thank you!

Jeanine-thanks for the idea. I am going to try blankets/bolsters and see if that works before buying anything.
