SmartWool plus a silk liner sock for hiking.
Love the Kirkland trail socks for every day wear in the winter months and treat myself to a new pack every fall. And grab an extra one for my DIL.

Once I discovered Thorlos, I never bought another brand. I didn't know they could wear out. I have Thorlos I've walked around in without shoes for 20 years, and they are still great. If I wear a cheap pair of socks without shoes and they have holes inside of 30 minutes.
I don't do much hiking though. Or cold weather. I'd be interested in a comparison between the Smartwool and Thorlos.

Fits socks. These are my favorite socks for hiking, working out, everything. I like them more than smart wool.
