Many years ago Wai Lana had her tapes and equipment for sale in a store here and I ignored the items because to me they seemed so overly bright and strange.
Recently I bought a couple of her DVDs in the Yoga for Everyone range because they were reasonably priced and maybe I am more broad minded these days. I have tried Flexibility and loved it. Her style of yoga reminds me of my first yoga teachers way. Moving into the poses, perfecting, checking the breathing and then coming out of the pose I felt strangely elated and soothed after doing it and enchanted with Wai Lanas presence too. I'm looking forward to trying Strengthening soon.

Seagreen that's the type of yoga I prefer, too. I learned it that way from an earlier PBS yogi, Richard Hittleman.

I pulled out my Wai Lana DVDs this morning after a long time. Judging from when I posted on this thread, it's been almost a year.

Pat58 - thanks for mentioning Richard Hittleman. I still have the smaller paperback of his 28 Day Yoga but I'm pretty sure I donated the larger one that I had. However, I found his Yoga for Health book on Kindle and ordered it this morning. At least I won't have to worry about the pages staying flat.

I have her CD called Rest and Relax, which has a Yoga Nidra and a kind of meditation too. I've also seen her shows on TV but not her DVDs. She definitely has her own unique style that may put off some, but she seems so sweet and sincere in wanting to share her yoga.

Looks like there are a bunch of 10-15 segments of hers on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=wai+lana

Definitely with her apparel. I love her clothes with the bright colors.

I have some of her Pilates Yoga DVDs, which she sells in kits. A few years ago, amazon had a few of the DVDs sold separately. Haven't done them in a while, but I remember liking the figure 8 band DVD.

I really don't like yoga, but hers is the only yoga I can manage to do. I have one of her 3vhs sets around here somewhere.

Maybe I should dig it up, or find her stuff on You Tube.

I've seen a few of her shows off of PBS, but haven't looked at any videos she's put out. She is quite the contortionist in yoga and doesn't provide instruction on modifications to her poses. Most of the show, I can't do the poses depicted .
