I did finish The Confession Club, but I was disappointed.

My friend sent me Montaigne in Barn Boots for Christmas , but I donít think Iím going to like it, either. And I had been on a roll - 4 or 5 books in a row that I thought were good. Darn!!!

I guess Iíll start Running with Sherman - Iím pretty sure Iíll like that one.

You and me both! I'm glad to have learned about her again. The mystery I'd read a while ago didn't really stick in my memory, so as a bonus I can reread that one later.

I took a detour back through the HP books for a while, I'd been listening on audio in the car and kept picking up the actual books as I had time for reading. Next thing you know I'd abandoned Elizabeth Goudge.
Definitely getting back to these books, though. Just the sort of thing I need to unwind with at the end of the day.

I just finished The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe by Ally Condie (who wrote the Matched trilogy). Not my favorite.

Then I read Circe by Madeline Miller, which I quite liked (but it did get a bit wordy at times).

Thanks as always difit! I guess December is a slow month.

Here are my reading updates:

Finished A Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg, somewhat sappy but good for a light read.

Finished Seanne Corn's Revolution of the Soul, which is sort of half-memoir, half-self help. I didn't really click with me but is likely to appeal to others.

Reading The Interpreter of Maladies. Have read about 4 stories.

Reading The Buddha Walks Into a Bar; almost finished. Liked very much in the beginning but the metaphors haven't really worked for me.

Just started Esther Meyers' Yoga and You.

Happy reading, all!

I finished The Oysterville Sewing Circle by Susan Wiggs. It was one of her better ones, I think.

And, I started The King of Attolia, the third book in this series. It's good so far.

I read Demi Moore's memoir Inside Out the other day, and I did it so fast I forgot to mention it.

It's a thoughtful book, but I found it a quick read. Read it in one day by staying up very late.

Also just finished my umpteenth reread of the Harry Potter books.

I wish she'd write more novels in the wizarding world, but I guess I can respect the fact that she's made a different choice.

Someone recommended So You've Been Publicly Shamed by Jon Ronson to me at a party last night. I came home and checked out the ebook from my library. I'm already about a fourth of the way through it. Is it okay if I drop everything and read it all day?

I am having trouble getting into The Confession Club. It just isn't holding my attention. I don't think I will finish it.

So far this month I've read The Obesity Code by Jason Fung and Sink Reflections by Marla Cilley. The Obesity Code was informative but pretty basic ( avoid sugar and carbs and you'll lose weight- duh). Sink Reflections was about establishing a housekeeping routine and while I will not follow her system as laid out, the book did inspire me to create my own schedule.
