The 3-2-8 Workout and other TikTok workout trends

A lady at my WW meeting raved about this TikTok workout plan. It sounds simple enough - three days of weights, two days of barre, and get 8,000 steps daily. She said it motivated her to get on board with a fitness routine and she's getting results. (Personally, 8,000 steps daily is a reach for me.)

I'm not on TikTok but I'm guessing there are a lot of fitness programs - probably some good and a lot silly to bad. Have you gotten on board with any TikTok trends?

I'm not on TikTok either, but this does look fun and motivating!

I'm not on TikTok either, but this sounds interesting. I always want to get in more pilates and barre, and this workout schedule gives me that. However, I agree with the article that there may not be enough cardio. I include my dog walks as "bonus" activity. I'm never breathless walking the dog so I feel I may need more cardio. How to fit it all in!

Interesting. Also not on TikTok, but if that 3-2-8 workout structure got someone to do some sort of exercise program it’s at least better than nothing.

So….basically strength and cardio 5 days a week. Not to be cheeky, but I’d hope to see results if I was exercising that much! Like…what am I missing?

I guess that it's motivating to try new things? Especially for a person who isn't currently exercising and got sparked to get up and work out.

That I do get, lol. I enjoy planning up rotations probably more than actually *doing* them.

Thanks for posting Pat! It’s interesting, similar but more scheduled than what I’m doing now. And I could use a more scheduled regime. I think I’ll try it in December.
