Thumbs up November 2019 ~ Walk On & On ~ New Check-In Buddies Are Always Welcome!

What started as a Leslie walk challenge has morphed into a wide variety of workouts and lots of support and encouragement! Join us, if you're looking for a friendly check-in, that's not limited to one type of exercise!

no exactly November, but today my internet was messed up and after 30 minutes trying to get my streaming to work, did 10 minutes of Ellen's fusion flow. That was silly to waste all that time. Not many trick or treaters as it was cold! (maybe about 5). The barre3 drama has actually hit the site itself with people actually complaining in the online comments. Very unusual -- generally no one even dares to be the slightest bit negative there. Hopefully they will listen and make some changes in response.

Diana, glad you had a nice dinner. And thanks for starting us off.

barre3 30 minutes. There is still distress in barre3 world. Now people on the site are openly asking others what other sites they should switch to; what a change from a world where to say even the slightest negative word about a workout was almost unheard of. But last week no new workout (after posting new ones every week) plus no new monthly (after posting a new longer workout at the start of every month) and tempers are wearing thin. I find there are still a good number of 30 minute ones that I haven't done a lot so I am still ok, but if they don't add new content for a long time I will have to think about cancelling myself. I hope it doesn't come to that. I've done over 1000 workouts there.

Diana, glad things went well with the dinner.

Hi everybody! I'm home after a very enjoyable trip. After traveling rfrom 9 am until after 7 pm, I sure didn't feel like dancing tonight. I plan to dance tomorrow and Sunday evening. My friend who was going to stay with me this weekend, cancelled due to respiratory problems. I hope she feels better soon, but I am glad not to have to entertain this weekend.

Lynn, as you know, barre3 is not my favorite system, but I get their newsletter and have enjoyed a lot of their smoothie and soup recipes. When they partnered with Lululemon, I felt no good would come of that change. Focus from friendly to snooty, for starters.

Hi all, I ended up getting sicker after all and having to go on antibiotics. Today's the first day I felt well enough to work out, so I did Jessica's Best Workout For Straight Shapes (with 12s) because I knew it would not be too crazy or strenuous. Also did lots of walking. It's good to feel well enough to do things!

Diana, thanks for getting things going. How is your DH? Mine has started walking 2 miles almost every day around a nearby lake. He is getting serious about making changes for his health, so that's good.

Cynthia, glad you had a great trip! Your suite looked beautiful.

Lynn, that's too bad about Barre3. How frustrating to everyone who's paid for it. Hopefully they pay attention to the comments!

Seabliss That's awesome about your DH taking up walking. My DH is doing fine. He has gotten a bit lax with his improved eating. But in his defense we had his birthday, the fair, and a couple other events. It's always something. LOL
