For stress relief, Leslie Sansone or Lee Holden. Though sometimes it might be a short Classical Stretch episode,

Sorry for the stress you're dealing with. Hope things start looking up soon.

On those days when I just don't feel like working out, but know that a workout will make me feel better, then I do whatever I feel like doing and don't allow any guilt over it. I'm almost always thankful that I pushed myself to do SOMETHING.....anything. So, grab whatever workout you feel like you can do, and do it. For me, I gravitate toward my easier workouts but still get a decent sweat, like:

My Personal Best Workout - LOVE the overall scenery!
Step Reebok - the Video or AeroStep - requires very little brain power.
Cathe - LIS or HIS from the 4DS series b/c I love the footwork and it flies by.
Cathe - Lean legs & Abs - fun workout with good music.
Les Mills Pump - any of those disks b/c the music rocks.
Cathe - To the Mat - if I just don't even feel like standing to get a good w/o.

If I need something inspirataional but tough, I'll opt for Sean and do a Cardio Coach on the elliptical or a Katami 4x4 w/o with Paul. But I typically just want to do something a little more layed back when I'm not feeling up to working out. Sometimes I'll just stare at my collection and pick one I haven't done in a really long time just b/c I can.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. They are very much appreciated

I know each person may reach for something different on bad days, but it is comforting to read what works for others. I have some of the workouts mentioned. I think I'll pull some out, along with some favorites, and see what I feel up to doing.

You have gotten some good suggestions for videos but Sherri’s suggestion of walking (in her case, she walks her dog) is probably what helps me the most, too. My suggestion of Virtual Active is the indoor equivalent I suppose. But getting out in “nature” and getting fresh air does WONDERS. My work has a path around the building. I either walk there or through the industrial neighborhood across the road twice a day with a friend from work. And we always feel better mentally and physically after the walk. It perks us up, gets us away from stressed at work, the walking is meditative if you’re by yourself. Unless it’s snowing or windy, we get out and walk as long as the temp is above freezing.

Long story short, if you can get outside and walk, even for short walks, it’s really helpful.

Venus - hugs to you, Jelly and Peanut! It is so stressful worrying about our animal companions.

Things have been nuts for me too lately. My cat injured himself severely and I have been having my own painful health issues.

My kitty is on the mend, but I am still working on getting help for my issues.

Some days it's Leslie Sansone. Or, Lee Holden. Or, a very gentle floor stretch. Or, nothing!

I like doing something I can do mindlessly. Like Leslie, or one of the Slim Series. Something that just flows and I don't have to think or really pay attention.

There's a "Your Personal Best" with model Elle Macpherson and Karen Voight.

I've never done it the workout personally but I believe there's a kind of funny outtake at the end where the tide is coming in and they're doing seated stretching on these low platforms in the water and their pants get all wet as the waves roll in.

Ah, the days when workout set design was taken seriously.

My go to workout when I was stressed or just really didn't feel like doing anything was Christi Taylor Still Jumpin' or HiLo Heaven (I know, they're oldies ). However since I now have feet issues I can't pivot or shuffle like she does in so many of her routines. I really miss her workouts. She's so fun and positive and her music is great.

Stretching is now my go to for hard days. I'll do a 5 minute warm up on my own.
