We went on a RV trip for a few weeks. There wasn't much internet of an signal where we went. Then, on the second to last day of our trip, we got a call from my pet-sitter (aka my SIL) that one of my kitties had a medical emergency. He had managed to rupture his bladder and was in emergency surgery. My hero DH drove almost 12 hours straight to get us home.
My kitty is home now and in solitary confinement to recuperate. I am still .
How stressful about your kitty! I'm glad you were able to get home quickly and he is doing well now. I've also been dealing with sick pets lately (one of my rats just had a tumor removed). I've been feeling bad about not posting more, too. I started posting more frequently, but haven't kept it up. You did motivate us to post more, so don't feel too bad
Alta, so sorry to hear about your kitty, but glad he is on the mend.
Venus, I’m glad your rat is on the mend as well. Those little guys are tumor factories - I bet I’ve had 50 or more tumors removed from my rats over the years. I looked at my rat, Walker, the other day and thought he was getting a tumor, but turns out he’s just getting a double chin. 😁
I’d like to post more and I wanted to be in the holiday gift exchange, but I feel like my workout era has come and gone. I only do DVDs and most of the instructors I like are no longer making workout DVDs. I have a lot of DVDs but I used to really looking forward to new workouts.
Gams, thank you. It's the first rat tumor I've dealt with, so I was especially nervous. My previous rats were all spayed/neutered, but the ones I have now were not. Hehe, the double chin I recently bought two Linda Wooldridge DVDs, but hadn't bought any new workouts in so long (though I thrift workouts pretty often). I liked looking through the Collage catalog
Venus, I was never nervous about the tumor removals on my rats until my vet one day said that they don’t have the same monitoring devices for rats that they have for cats and dogs. He said it’s basically, “Is it still breathing?” 😱
How stressful for you and DH too! Glad you made it home safely.

Brent: Nah. I'm not gonna put all my eggs in one basket.

I want to post more, but my brain is fried.
Now is not a good time to make decisions. Your body is in an uproar and it’s best to be still. Don’t push to exercise make dinner or be available. Right now, you’re not.
Take chillax time and post when you even out.
God bless your sil for getting him to emergency in time to save him.
