Opinion on Bodywisdom Yoga Media

Hi all! Has anyone tried the Bodywisdom yoga dvds from Bodywisdom Yoga for Weight Loss set? It has the following 3 dvds:
  • Flow Yoga - Strength & Flexibility
  • Yoga for Weight Loss - Beginners & Beyond
  • Power Yoga for Every Body
I was able to find a bit on Flow Yoga, but not so much the others. Can anybody offer any current insight? Are they worth having?

Also curious about Bodywisdom Yoga Complete for Weight Loss with Mary Pappas-Sandonas as it seems to be a favorite. Any current reviews?

Thanks!

I had the Mary Pappas-Sandonas one and the Power Yoga one years ago. Mary’s was one of my first yoga dvds. I found the instruction very good but they’re rather dry. IIRC they are voice over. The premixes felt choppy as they are separate segments strung together. I think they are good for newbies and could be useful for experienced yogis to refocus on good form. I think it’s always good to go back to basics regularly. One can unknowingly develop bad habits especially if you don’t attend live classes.

Thanks Pam! Some people call Jason Crandall dry, but I really like him.

Bubbles, I should also mention that I remember Mary having an usual voice, kinda breathy & a bit like a toned down Denise Austin. Not a criticism, just an observation....

I couldn’t get into the Bodywisdom yoga dvds— they were very dry, robotic and didn’t flow. If you want to try some awesome yoga workouts, try 5 parks yoga on YouTube.
