I like those Keens Jackie!

I’d love to have you in my class Anetta! Jackie is an awesome instructor, I was fortunate to have classes with her at the Midwest Getaway last year.

I have had a pair of North Face trail running Gore-Tex shoes forever (>15 years!) with detachable gaiters. Paired with thick socks, these have been awesome for walking in snowy/muddy/rainy conditions and also for snowshoeing. Faboo!

I've had a pair of NB Goretex-lined winter walking shoes for close to a decade now and they are as solid as ever. There are few things I hate more than having wet feet or wet socks, and these shoes keep my feet warm and dry even walking through puddles, mud or a couple inches of snow. I don't even need to wear thick socks with them, which get uncomfortably sweaty anyway.

I have a pair of L.L.Bean snow sneakers. They are warm, waterproof, and supportive. They are pricey but do the trick for what I need them for.

Jackie:
I live in Missouri and have actually taken a couple glasses with 2 instructors-but they don't live close to me.

I really enjoy reading your's and Pam's progress thru the CS program.

Ryka has some boot styles that you might want to consider.

I got a pair last year in the Adella style, but Zappos doesn't carry them now.
It has some Thinsulate, but I'm not sure they'd be comfy enough for me in actual ice/snow.

I live way down south, where I've actually seen people wearing flip flops in wintry conditions. I'm thinking our version of winter wouldn't even persuade you to turn on the heat.
