I feel the same way. I have bought downloads and have finally figured out how to use that format. However, it pains me to spend as much on a download as I would on a dvd. We all know that going to downloads is cheaper for the instructor so like another poster said, it's all about the $$ and not "being green" I say, pass the savings onto the customer! If these are priced well, I'll still get them.

Just like anything you put on your computer, you need to have backups. Yes, you will lose them on your computer if your computer dies. However, if you have them saved somewhere else, you can transfer them back once your computer is fixed.

Lora, this is what I use to store my downloads and ripped dvds: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER I actually have the 1TB one, but wish I had gotten the 2TB (although honestly the 1TB hasn't filled up yet and I have almost all of my workouts on it). I don't keep my downloads on my computer as they often take up a large amount of space on the hard drive. This external hard drive is crazy easy to use. You can then either burn the files to a dvd-r using Freemake http://www.freemake.com/how_to/how_to_burn_dvd_video or if you have a TV with HDMI ports you can plug the external hard drive directly and play on the TV using this great device: http://www.amazon.com/Micca-Full-HD-...a+media+player HTH

I'll pass on these. I don't care for downloads and besides, I've rediscovered Ilaria's Athletica DVDs and am doing those instead of Scorcher.
