it leaks, but not any more than a stability ball. in my entire ownership of mine, i've only had to add more air once or twice, same for the stability ball.

the bosu surface is extremely thick.

it is a good piece of equipment, though.
Me too. I'm 5'1" and sometimes the step is a biggie.
I have a great Bosu but I haven't used it in YEARS! I got rid of most of my Bosu DVDs.
I should sell it.

Anyone in MN want one CHEAP?

I use my Bosu most for core, back extension and simple balance work. It's also replaced a Pilates arc for me. And I like to position it under my Fit Tower to help me reach the top of the frame for pullups.

Linda Wooldridge has several good Bosu workouts.

I am also 5 feet. I would get the BOSU sport instead of the full size.

It’s a great fitness tool for all the reasons listed. Despite that I don’t use mine often enough. I got mine when they first came out so it’s old! I do worry about it collapsing for some reason though I’ve never heard of that happening. I considered replacing it but I feel that I don’t use it often enough.

It’s good to know that these are good. I had considered purchasing her downloads in the hopes of reinvigorating my interest. If the free Bosu DVDs I got failed to do so would Linda’s downloads do the trick?

I am another who love the BOSU. It has been one of the best pieces of equipment for improving my balance. I do tend to use it in place of the step for certain exercises - either to work on balance or to make them more low-impact. Nothing too dancey - say, hiit-type jumping drills, etc. I do like cardio on the BOSU- I love Seasun's BOSU blast and Rob Glick's Cardio Fusion. Amy Bento has a short BOSU segment on her hi lo dome workout that is really fun. And, as PP's have mentioned, Mindy's work with the BOSU is fantastic.

I bought one direct from Bosu and it came with a free powerstax. I like it but don't use it often enough. There was a time where I didn't feel that barre was challenging enough on it's own and I set up my Bosu ball side up, on my Fluidity Barre mat. I didn't feel that it was extra challenging with the Bosu, but my fitness tracker noticed a difference.

I really need to get back into barre and I think I'll incorporate the Bosu. I actually break things down into price per use and it hasn't been great for the Bosu. I gotta make it worth it!

What is a powerstax? I never thought of using the BOSU for barre.

I’d be curious to know how and where people store their Bosu. For me at least part of my not using it more is the idea of “out of sight out of mind.” It’s readily available but not readily visible.

Most of my equipment is stored around the perimeter of my gym. My BOSU sits btwn my wave bag and a small shelf with my stability ball on top of it. So I see it every day but still am not making good use of it (or anything else in there for that matter!).
