Yesterday was a rest day, just some indoor walking. Today I did an indoor walk with DD and an outdoor walk, as well as an upper body strength with Heather Robertson. I was feeling very stressed today. For me these workouts are so good because there is no talking, just music. Sometimes all the cheerful chatter is like fingernails on a chalkboard when I am stressed.
I wanted to share about our friend who passed away. He was very humble, but he had a big hand in so many records that you would know of, from Whitney Houston to Brooks and Dunn, and he won a Grammy for Shania Twain. So many artists--Charlotte Church, Jimmy Buffet, Dusty Springfield ... He started the biggest Christian record label in Nashville (Word) with one other guy back in the day. He was also completely brilliant, with an IQ somewhere in the 160s. Just a humorous, creative, energetic force, and it seems now that everyone counted him as one of their best friends. I'm reading all these stories and tributes to him, and I am surprised to see all of this. He was our friend on a real level. He also mixed many of our songs, and he was a mentor and encourager to us in so many ways.
It really brings to mind how important it is to be intentional with relationships and with people, because that is the only thing that lasts. Hope I didn't bore you; it helps me to say some things, I think.
Cynthia, thank you so much for the recipe! I'm always looking for breakfast food with a good amount of protein that doesn't taste like egg, lol.
Lynn, I also gain weight much faster than I lose it. It's just a constant battle!
Diana, how are things going with your church?
